"'Roped into' my shiny Metal Sword!" ~Yui

Meet Yui Kirigaya, presently a Lab Tech and the one-day-soon-to-become Kyoryu Violet in Vamola!! Kyoryuger, daughter of Kirito and Asuna, main characters of Sword Art Online who also appear in XWAU02!

Yui, in this timeline, was a Mental Health Care Program who was corrupted to the point of collapse. With her emotional status in a very questionable state, Yui pulled the backed up personality of an SAO player named Sachi into herself in an attempt to save the player from deletion. Whether this attempt failed or succeeded is a matter of debate due to the resulting girl "Yui" having only partial, fragmented memories of being the player or the AI. At what would be considered her biological age of 11, she joined AINCRAD's recently established PawnChessmon Academy, where she met Caleb and Callie and became friends with them. Years passed to the Deboss Invasion, leaving her at the present state of being attracted to Caleb for reasons she really doesn't quite understand yet. She wishes to become a Kyoryuger like her friends, and so works in the Voltasaur Lab in hopes of becoming one as soon as possible so she can help out in battle.

Yui wears a set of ALFHEIM ONLINE Cait Syth Armor at all times under her regular clothing due to the magical enchantments/game buffs it provides. For similar reasons, she's stacked three different sets of socks over her legs. On AINCRAD or on the streets of Tokyo-3, Yui wears the standard issue shoes, while having modified the standard skirt into a bizarrely colored version that was the result of one of Callie's first clothing dying experiments, and leaves the standard student issue shirt half-buttoned up due to the fact that "There are too many buttons! Seriously, have you counted them!? Who has the time for all those buttons?!" When working in the Voltasaur Lab, she trades the shirt for the Lab coat.


As Kyoryu Violet, Yui has the same Gaburevolver, Gaburicaliber, and Mobuckle that the others have. Her "Armed On" weapon is the Zuon Rocket, and uses a modified form of the Gaburicanon that leaves the blade pointing out like a Bayonet. Her partner will be Plezuon, although how or why she's chosen has yet to be seen.

Yui. Oh Yui. What is there to say about Yui? Heh. WELL, first of all, Yui in Kyoryuger is REALLY pretty much a Composite Character. See, Yui from SAO and Yui from Yumekui Merry look PRETTY SIMILAR. They even share the same NAME for crying out loud!! Also....Yui was pretty much the entire inspiration for the Kyoryuger adaptation. The idea of Yui (SAO) growing up to look like Yui (YM) was just too much of an opportunity to pass up, especially since Yui (YM) shares a lot of similar traits with Yayoi (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger!) ^u^;

Also, there's a bit of fridge logic with Yui's crush on Caleb in there somewhere....Just think it over...Just think it through...

So anyways, Yui's line art comes from Yumekui Merry, even though the character initially comes from SAO, as does the design for the Cait Syth armor... Just look at the name of the Merchant. "John Chaser."
