Hello everyone,
I'm going to start with the bad news to end on a good note.
Bad News: I was laid off last week from my animation job. While I will not go into too much detail, I will say it was not due to me personally, and I was not the only one affected by it.
Due to this, it's back to job hunting for me all the time. I'm sorry I got everyone's hopes up that I'd be busy on here with new work. Life can throw you a bunch of different things, and balancing them is difficult, especially for me at times like right now.
To sum it up; I'll put new work on here when I have it. No specific time frame. I appreciate you all watching me and stickin
Yeah, I’m bored with Trump's prattling now, too, but he’s yet another loudmouth who is claiming Britain has “no go” areas for non-Muslims.
Earlier in the year, Faux News was claiming that Birmingham was some sort of Crusader-era Muslim stronghold where anyone not of that faith got their hands chopped off if they dared enter the city….which was news to me as I’d just bought some comics there that day - http://jollyjack.deviantart.com/journal/Bahrainham-506584117
Now, His Trumpiness is claiming that London is swarming with radicals and the police fear for their lives - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-l
I've been sitting at my desk since 10 am working on a "do you remem8er me" remix
finally finished and my gosh this was PAIN. It took forever to figure out the notes for the song and transpose them, so i had to run back and forth between the piano and computer a lot. i've never made a full 2 minute song in one day before, but i was really determined to finish it once I got started
the score is 25 pages long. the last time i wrote something that long (with 10 instruments) i spent six months on it.
All in all, I'm extremely impressed with myself. i'm pretty sure i'm not allowed to release the audio publicly yet, sorry about that.
Right now,

Chameleon Charm News - Oct 22, 2015
Hello hello hello my good readers!
I have some important news to share with you.
Firstly, I am sad to report, we unfortunately did not make our goal on the recent Kickstarter. We were a little under $300 off from the goal, so I will have to find alternate means of paying to print the Chapter 2 booklets. Hopefully, the next Kickstarter I run will be a bit more successful, but I still want to thank all of you who did support the campaign and spread the word.
Secondly, things will be changing somewhat drastically for Chameleon Charm. Due to changing schedules and interests with Cup of Comics, Chameleon Charm will no longer be updating there. I h
I am refusing to use the rebranded name because, I'm annoyed about the rebrand. I'm annoyed about your direction, your lack of focus in key areas and your lack of communication. I said I'd never be a bitter former staff member, but it seems that I am.
Last year you spent a lot of money on a rebrand, this year you've cut 50% of your work force, entire departments have been decimated and peoples lives have been thrown upside down without notice. But you never really communicated to anyone why. You still don't, you're not telling the community what's happening and that's only going to hurt you. People will see that helpdesk tickets take longer

"I keep hearing that people mostly want core membership to get their names more out there. Because people on this site have gotten so used to great artists having memberships, and artists with less talent having no membership. Like, what the hell? So instantly, people will think that someone with no star next to their name, must mean their art sucks, right? No. You need to actually look at someone's art to know if it sucks or not. Shocking revelation, isn't it? Just because someone can't afford a membership, doesn't mean their art sucks. Soon, because of the price increase, less people will have core memberships, meaning people will get more

Some perspective on 'core membership'
I know this is probably gonna be a long journal, but if you manage to read all the way through the end you might perhaps even get to learn a few things.
Furthermore I want to state that my opinion on the matter is pretty much neutral. I'm not with DeviantArt on the matter, nor am I against them. I just want to make people see things from the perspective of a 27 year old woman that has been in the web industry for the last decade.
The internet is not free
First of all, and most important thing to realize, is that the internet is not free. Everyone who lived through the early ages of web 1.0. (old people like me) knows that it costs money to
Some little ball of faecal matter posted a comment on my profile, proudly announcing “Tom Preston finally left DA”, no doubt in an effort to stir something up.
Now, I don’t know a huge amount about Tom Preston (AKA Andrew Dobson), I’m just aware of the sketchy details: he drew fetish stuff, he tried to deny it, he posted some incendiary journal entries and some people claim his art is no good.
Excluding the denial part, that sounds eerily familiar to my online shtick. The only difference seems to be in our approach to faceless internet hate. Where TP appears to have taken it very, very personally, thus fanning the fl
